Our Programs
Outdoor Play
Outdoor play is incorporated into all the programs. Being outdoors is so important for early learning, exploring the natural outdoors of Beautiful northern BC. We have rivers and mountains, trees, the program brings outside learning back into the classroom to further enhance the child’s curiosity and learning. Each day a outside Advenurer is different: sun, rain, snow, the ECE encourage families to prepare for all weather types.
Preschool: 30 month (must be 36 months by Dec 31 of current year to enroll)to 5 years old
Preschool program is offered daily: 2&3 days per week. Children are welcome to play and explore through hands on play and experiences. The program runs 9:00 am-12:00
Learning developments: social, emotional, cognitive and physical. Language and literacy is incorporated through level of interest of the children, know as emergent curriculum.
Full time Childcare
Full time childcare is available from 8-00-4:30PM Monday to Friday. Childcare experience the preschool setting in the am followed by afternoon care: play, activities and Outdoor exploration.
Effective August 1,2019 Annual $50.00 insurance fee is required and can be paid before or applied to your child’s invoice.
Childcare is space can also be subsidized by Affordable Childcare Benefit

Quality Child Care
Certified Early Childhood Educator, Melissa Harris, owner and operator established LIttle Adventurer Preschool in 2017. The preschool grew into a all day licensed childcare facility in February 2019. I believe that children thrive in an environment which values their own uniqueness, while providing support and opportunities to grow emotionally, socially and creatively. By building on each child’s strengths, interests and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships. Little Adventurer Preschool and childcare offer services to 30 months to 5 years of age. I believe children in a calm environment that’s comforting to the child and families. Reggio inspired classroom, allowing children to access and learn with natural materials.
